Shock Dampers
The purpose of the SHOCK DAMPER is, as the name implies, to dampen shock. It is a critical part in obtaining maximum engine performance. It simplifies engine balancing and virtually eliminates maintenance costs through less valve train wear. It is not a hydraulic lifter, and as such does not eliminate clearance as does a hydraulic lifter. The major trouble on gas compressor engine valve trains is due to loose linkage, which does not allow the injection valve to receive uniform lift each time the engine cycles. The SHOCK DAMPER solves the loose linkage problems and greatly increases the amount of uniform lift needed for even balancing.
The SHOCK DAMPER is interchangeable with the original equipment adjusting screws. The United / Wells SHOCK DAMPER can enhance the performance of power and compressor engines.
